Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.
– Martin Luther King, Jr.
I read random quotes and I discovered this.
My POV on sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.
Are people really ignorant and stupid? I don’t believe so. But, their refusal to understand the depths of things and their decision to stay superficial have had us believe that they are.
There isn’t a day in my life when I don’t think about why people think the way that they do. They ask for your opinion or advice – and they agree with you completely. But, they still keep doing what they are doing for reasons that are hard to explain.
Do they really want to do it the hard way? Do they really want to learn it the hard way even if they already know what happens next? Why risk everything just because they want to cherish the moment?
For me, there is a BIG difference between cherishing a moment and just plain stupidity.
It is utterly dangerous and for once – I needed to pour it all out. Once and for all, I just wanted to let my feelings out because I know it isn’t something I can do all the time.
I am anything but prim and proper. But, I know when to open my mouth.
It took years for me to understand how it is to take the backseat and just observe people, listen to them talk, read their opinions and explore the world.
Nonetheless, I shouldn’t care. Why should I when I am already struggling in my life – as it is? Why bother thinking about others?
LOL, Martin Luther King, Jr had me going has he, now?
