The seventh and FINAL step in my list is: OPEN TO GIVE and RECEIVE LOVE
An individual who has attained inner peace is open to give and receive love with open arms (I’m just being melodramatic). But, it’s all true.
A person who has attained inner peace does not hesitate to give love and is open to receive it once reciprocated. In fact, this person does not expect any reciprocation at all.
IMHO, giving and receiving love is a freedom. It is not just about giving love to people who loves us but also to those people who prosecute us. Really now – wouldn’t that be too much? Wouldn’t that be unfair? Of course, it is but to the person who is open to give and receive love – this does not matter, not at all.
Giving and receiving love is something that should be easy and effortless.
But, how come it is so hard to see it all in the world today?
Honestly, I am guilty when I say I only love those people who love me. It does not necessarily mean that I am only using them for my own personal intentions. However, I see to it that I am loved in return. I don’t hate people who don’t love me. I don’t hate people who keeps prosecuting me in their minds.
I am just indifferent.
And, indifference (as what my mom always tells me) is the opposite of love – not hate. For everything that’s being hated was once loved.
Anyway, I am not sure whether I have given something of value by listing the steps necessary to attain inner peace. But, I sure hope I did. 🙂
